no success (so far) with the easy cap.
1. Green light does not come on when I attach to USB. (Is this right?
2. When I open video studio a box comes up on “Change field Order” .I starts to do something then the programme crashes.
3. I tried loading a free download trial version of videostudio. Problem 2 above didn’t arise but I tried capturing the video from my Sony camcorder and it failed to capture – no file source found ( or some similar message).
Now I’m lost!

I was given to understand that the device can capture programmes recorded on the sky+ box.
Is this correct and if so how do you do it?

I have recently purchased an Easycap Video capture device that had Ulead VideoStudio SE DVD included. After installing the software I tried to run the Ulead program and an error window opened which stated
“The screen size is far too small to play video. The screen resolution must be set to at least 1024 x 768″
This occurs even though my screen resolution is set to 1440 x 900. I have tried reinstalling the program several times but the same error pops up on trying to execute. I have an Acer Aspire 9303 laptop and am running Vista Home Premium. I have no idea why this is happening please can someone help?

I have just purchased an easy cap and am awaiting delivery. The supplier advises that it only works with os 2000 or XP. However some other suppliers say also works with Vista. Can anybody confirm that it will work with Vista or are there different models.

Hi,
I have tried a Digital Camera and a camcorder analogue camera and whilst the picture comes out fine the sound is very distorted.

I have recently purchased the Easycap Capture DC60 but am unable to introduce the driver which requests Service Pack 2 and my system is on Service Pack 3 . Is there a way round this problem ?

I am trying to install the software for Easycap, but it keeps telling me to update XP to Service pack 2. I am on service pack 3!! Is there some sort of fix?

I am about to purchase an easycap adapter. From the pictures it has 4 wires (red, yellow, white and black) and also a USB connecting cable. So far so good!
I want to connect the adapter to a VHS recorder SCART output using a scart adapter BUT the SCART adapter has female connections for the red, white and yellow wires – as does the easycap adapter. Can you please advise how these can be fitted together to enable me to connect the SCART cable to the easycap adapter? Thanks

I have a new Vista laptop & it wont run the drivers from the disc I have from my XP PC.
Is there a new driver set for Vista? Can I download them anywhere for my DC60?

Can anyone help with my EASYCAP unit. After installing and following the advice on this site, I have managed to get video but no audio??
I have system set to capture audio using Digital Audio Interface USB.
I have seleted PAL and Composite Video and made sure Capture Audio tab is selected.Am I missing something?
Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that the video source is a VHS VCR Sony player connected via 2 audio cables and an RCA phono composite video/audio cable

does anyone know where a manual can be obtained? I’ve tried e-mailing Corel, who seem to have bought ‘Ulead’, but I either get bounced, or a reply advising me where to get help on ‘Graphics Suite’ etc. UGHH!

hi everyone i have a problem i seem to have lost my ulead video studio serial that came with my stk 1160 and now i cant install it, i tried diffrent programs but none of them worked with it.

waste of time! will not install videostudio, says m4a.dat file missing, cannot open driver in any programs despite installing over and over again. Most frustrating thing I have ever bought and I wish I hadn’t bothered!!!

Now, my issue is that i got the usb recognized. what im trying to do its to transfer some vhs to my computer that way i can trasfer them to dvds… when my laptop detects that its connected i can see the motion at the screen but just with a green and purple colors…
someone now what i need to do in order to star with my recordings!!

I had a different brand that worked fine I let it go with my old computer my new computer is a 64bit computer and is will not let me install the easy cap it says the program that came with is will not work on 64bit machines my old one was a 64 but was running a 32 program is there any thing I can do

I had problems installing my easycap on vista but after I uninstalled everything then added my camcorder onto my computer using add new hardware, then reinstalled easycap everything works fine. The only problem is that 15mins worth of tape has now used all free space on my computer. Can anybody help me solve this problem?

I have just recieved my Easycap unit, when I tried the disc my laptop treated it as a blank disc. I have tried inserting the disc several times but get the same result. Seems like a really good start!!!!

Is there any writen information explaining Ulead VideoStudio SE DVD? I have not been able to copy from 8mm camcorder to PC. Any help appreciated. I can see picture on PC but can’t seem to copy.

I have downloaded the most recent drive as I can find dc60+_driver. I have run this as an administrator. However, when I go into device manager, it tells me “the drivers for this device are not installed”. Can anybody help please?

Had this device for christmas. My computer with windows 7 says that the disc is blank. No info. Tried finding a driver on line with no luck. Any help out there please or is it another useless gadget heading for the bin

product will only work with 1 in 10 computers BE WARNED, this product has serious conflict issues , with ati graphic cards and other video editing software icluding windows movie maker ,be warned

I AM SEEKING TO RUN THE EASYCAP DVL810 ON A WINDOWS 7 COMPAQ LAPTOP. THE PROGRAM THAT CAME WITH IT MUST NOT BE 64 BIT FORMAT. HOW CAN I RESOLVE THE FACT THAT THE USB LIGHTS UP AND IS RECOGNIZED, BUT THE COMPUTER AND uLEAD STUDIO DO NOT SEE THE CAMERA.
I PURCHASED THE NEW ONE BECAUSE THE OLD OLD DID NOT WORK ON WIN 7. THE REP ASSURED ME IT WAS WIN 7 COMPATIBLE.

Ok, I have my VideoDVR/EasyCap device installed. I had to de-install the driver when it didn’t work at first .. and then re-install it. Did this a couple of times.
I see the video and hear the sound on MediaPlayerClassic. But the video is slow and updates only a few times a second at best. Sometimes it updates only every few seconds. Any clues out there? I haven’t tried to capture video yet.

When trying to capture video from my vhs recorder it works fine for six minutes 58 seconds (everytime) then a error message appears saying unexpected error. But running my camcorder no problem, would appreciate any help

When I try to install the driver I get a message to update to XP version Service Pack 2. I am already have Service Pack 2 and 3.

I just got my Easycap in the mail (Amazon UK).
The driver is installed fine.
But I need a serial number to install the video editor software – and there isn’t any serial number provided on the packaging!
Please help?

I installed ulead video studioand did everything what i must do to record my ps2, I have windows 7 and i film myself with this camera and i do not record my ps2. What is wrong?

The serial number for Ulead software is on the cd label itself. Some thing like… 7***3-8***6-0***0-0**** 543.

Best advice to anybody with an Easycap USB device is to wrap for xmas gift to somebody you do not like and has time on their hands to waste. The product does not work.

My screen resolution is only a little smaller and it refuses to run without a larger resolution. is there no way to open this program with low resolution?

Easy cap will not capture the video. Purchased it to take my VHS tapes and put them on DVD. Very frustrated and disgusted with this whole thing. Was told it worked with Vista. ULead program included on installation disc claim it works on Vista but then it shows up that it isn’t compatible. Help!!!!

I have been trying to get this usb device running for 3 days now. Mt xmas has been spent in front of the PC. Look it up on the net. This device is crap. I bought it on eBay and will be returning it to the seller. Its RUBBISH.
ps. I work in IT ! – there’s not much I cant get to work but this has been total trash. DONT BUY IT !!!

Recently bought and installed EasyCAP on a Windows 7 laptop. Video captures OK but audio is terrible. The only audio input option is shown as Microphone(USB Audio Interface)Think with line in this is oveloading input but there is no other avaiable audio inputs. Any ideas?

what a fine piece of kit for the money, had a bit of a problem with the audio hissing but used the line in on the compaq computer instesd of the easycap connections and all is perfect now.

I recently purchased this product but I cannot load the program on the disk because the serial number on the packaging is 2 digits short!
What do I do? I have the original packaging with the serial number on the packaging and same number on the usb on a sticker.

Using Ezcap and Ulead I have captured VHS and all is ok but it has tex on the screen or when I play the video the word PAL and it flicks to MESECAM then back to PAL. It also has Auto under PAL/MESRCAM

Since the beginning of the manual recording mode, the program runs 20 seconds, then stops recording. In the settings I tried to install an entry given time – the same problem. Recording automatically stops after 20-30 seconds. The first two videos were recorded without any problems. I have not changed anything in the settings, but now you can not record. Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Hi, can anyone help.I have the easycap installed with ulead and there are no missing drivers in device manager.The video works fine but I do not get any audio.The only audio device says digisound Max. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

i have a “small’ problem. during my instalation of an easycap, it stops somewhere in the middle and tells me that the soft is not compatible with windows XP…. i had it instaled on another xp and it worked… what could be the problem?

I purchased the Easy Cap today because I wanted to download some VHS tapes to my computer then burn them to DVD for my Mother. So far, I can’t even get anything to show up in preview screen. Is it even possible to capture the video and sounds off of a VCR?
